I’m so glad I did not waste any money attending this freaking joke. I am sorry for the CAL fans that did venture to San Diego.

AT LEAST CAL ISN’T RUNNING THE LAME WILDCAT FORMATION.

Tedford makes me sick. He ruined what was once a mobile qb in Riley, and now leaves him in to rot. And that’s just the beginning.
December 23rd, 2009 at 7:56 pm
I would have gone, but I had a feeling that this is what it would be.
So I guess we have now seen for a whole season what we have heard Utah fans know. Ludwig is terrible. But it really doesn’t matter, as Ludwig calls the exact same plays as Tedford would. Tedford brought Ludwig here and loves him. Clueless is as clueless does.
NOBODY does less with more than Tedford.
PS- how many wasted plays in how many games did oit take Tedford and Ludwig to figure out that the Wildcat is a wasted play??

CAL IS RUNNING OUT OF TIME. 30-21. I DON’T THINK THEY HAVE THE BALLS TO WIN THIS ONE. 8-5 ON THE YEAR. NOT GREAT, BARELY GOOD. WE NEED TO RECRUIT A 5 STAR QB, WR (X3), OL, CB (X3), DL, LBS, ST COACH, WR COACH, QB COACH, DEF. COORDINATOR, HIRE MIKHALCHEK BACK, DUMP OL COACH MARSHALL.

Rollonubears-
You’re right. Riley is a mess. Thanks Tedford.
December 23rd, 2009 at 7:58 pm
RILEY JUST GOT @#$%^ AGAIN!!! 2ND & 21 yEAH!!!!
December 23rd, 2009 at 7:58 pm
I’M DONE, BEER TIME. LATER CAL FANS.
December 23rd, 2009 at 7:58 pm
Utah’s true freshman QB looks better than Riley in his 4th year. It’s ALL coaching.

A bell curve … the Cal football program under Tedford. We are on the downward side.

The Bears weren’t very good this year.
You can blame Tedford, but he wasn’t defending receivers or rushing the passer. The players weren’t getting it done. How can you drop eight in pass coverage and still have receivers running wide open?
As far as Riley, the third down pass to Holley in the flat said it all about Kevin. Wide open receiver ten yards away and he overthrows him by six feet. He’s just not an accurate passer. I hope Sweeney or somebody else gets a chance next year. Riley looks like a waste of time.

UH, THAT’S COACHING.

UH, THAT’S COACHING AS WELL. QB GURU MY ARSE.

I will always blame Tedford. The reason is it was not 1 or 2 players not making plays or missing assignments. All season long it’s been both sides of the ball, every aspect of the game. We have been basically watching a poorly coached team with some amazing playmakers.
That’s why we beat the bad teams, squeaked by against average ones, and got pummeled by good teams (except Washington, which played us really well because they have a NFL prospect QB).
For all you Tedford lovers/kool-aid drinkers: open your eyes!! Things will not change until he is gone at CAL.

You were very fortunate your record wasn’t 5-8. Three of your wins were just as much because of the stupidity of the opposing coaches or lucky plays which went your way – ASU, Stanford and Arizona. Every break this year went your way.
In addition three of your other wins – Mary-land, East of Washington and Minny-soda – fit the true definition of cupcakes.
When you look at the ugly losses and beatdowns your year was a major disaster, a real combination of underachievement, poor execution and no coaching.
BTW those two hits on your receivers reminded me of what Taylor Mays did a couple of years ago to about 5 of yor receivers. Brutal!!!!

Eric, it’s fine if you want to blame Tedford. However, Tedford did’t overthrow the wide open fullback ten yard away. Riley did.
