ESPN.com is reporting that UCLA sophomore point guard Jerime Anderson will be benched for the start of Wednesday night’s game at Cal because he was late for a Sunday rehabilitation session. Anderson has been nursing a minor groin injury.
Coach Ben Howland said freshman Tyler Honeycutt will make his first career start at a wing and sophomore Malcolm Lee will slide over to the point.
Anderson has started 13 of 14 games, averaging 6.1 points and 4.4 assists.
