Football: Renovation plans approved

The UC Regents approved the $321 million plan to retrofit and renovate Memorial Stadium today. Here are the details. None of this is new information. The news here is that it’s official and the plan can be put into motion.

As much as I feel Tedford has stalled as coach of the program. He will go down in Cal history as the one who finally made this happen. Congrats!

Definitely have to give Tedford credit for hanging in there. Lesser men would have bolted long ago. Also, if the SAHPC was build on time (it would be done now), I think the Tedford era wouldn’t have stalled. He can get it back.
The SAHPC will be a big recruiting boost but the viewing deck on western edge of Memorial is going to be spectacular. What other stadium has a world class view like that? None.

This is going to be really fun to watch come together! Will be great for our student athletes and great for our fans on game day.
