Football: Senior Bowl

Former defensive end Tyson Alualu and cornerback Syd’Quan Thompson are participating in the Senior Bowl this week. The game is Saturday at Noon on the NFL Network.
Practices started yesterday. There are a few reports from Monday that include mentions of Alualu and Thompson. Read them here and here.

J.O. so Tedford contacted you to get a message out to Bear fans to support the program and not be so negative. Did you get any info or calls from him explaining why he burned a scholarship on someone who had no offers or visits? Especially in a year where the Bears are playing with a limited number of available scholies?
Can you give us some details? Or do you care to venture a guess?

Robert, check out the highlight video for Terrance Montgomery before you jump on Tedford for “burning a scholarship”, although under-the-radar, this guy looks like a game-breaking, big-play type of guy. We had heard one reason he may be so under the radar is his high school (and team) is only 3 or so years old…

Looks like Syd stock has risen while Taylor Mays’ stock has fallen. I betcha Mays is happy he listened to Pete “I’m in Seattle” Carrol last year. D’oh!
