An update courtesy of Cal sports information man Tim Miguel: Patrick Christopher scored 24 points, Theo Robertson 21 and Ayinde Ubaka 21 in an 84-80 overtime win over Oregon State in Berkeley on Feb. 17, 2007. That’s the most recent time the Bears had three players with 20 points or more.

not sure if it was the last time it happened, but Ubaka, Christopher and Anderson each had at least 20 in a home game against OSU during the ’06-’07 season, and Shipp, Wethers and Tamir each had at least 20 in a home game against ASU during the ’02-’03 season.

i hope msf gets better soon, but if the bears win another one without him, monty’s got to consider how his presence affects the chemistry of this team. they were lights out playing a fast paced game with lots of ball movement. that just doesn’t happen, or at least hasn’t happened yet, with msf in the game. he needs to shed another 50 pounds (which will solve his back problems as well) before he should get a start again. he could help off the bench, but so far this year, he’s been fouling everyone, not rebounding, and not making baskets. i’m not sure what the point of playing is, if you can’t do any of those things. great win last night. go bears!
