Football: Senior Bowl stuff

Practices for the Senior Bowl are done for the week. Both teams just have walk-throughs today. I don’t have any links today but can tell you that by almost every account both cornerback Syd’Quan Thompson and defensive end Tyson Alualu impressed during the week and likely helped their draft stock. Before the week, it seemed both players were regarded around third-round talent. Thompson may have moved up into the second round and Alualu might have done the same, or possibly early third. The last evaluation of the week will come tomorrow with the actual game, which begins at Noon and airs on the NFL Network.

Both of those guys did a great job at Cal, and are a good example for the Cal student athlete image.

I just wish we had better positional coaches to help them further develop. I can’t help but think of how much talent has gone under developed, and how much more we could have gotten out of a lot of these guys over the year with more seasoned coaches. Especially D Line, it seems like we haven’t really developed a big time guy there in a long time. Even when we had Mebane, he was a bit of a dissapointment. Alualu would be a first round pick if we had a great D line coach to get him to that next level.

Hey moron, Care to explain May’s disappointing senior bowl practices?

  • BlueNGold

Moron never explains. Explaining would require facts, analysis and logic. Moron only knows trash talk and band wagoning. Moron is a legend in its own mind. It is the U. of sports corruption’s 12th man embodied in a single, and rather juvenile and classless, individual.
