Football: An introduction to Pendergast

A group of writers will be meeting with new defensive coordinator Clancy Pendergast later this afternoon. I will have a short story in tomorrow’s paper about it. I will also have more extensive coverage on the blog, although that may not come until tomorrow because I will be off covering the St. Mary’s basketball game tonight.

He will obviously come out with the soundbite quotes ready to announce a more aggressive defense. Try to get details, maybe examples from specific usages of NFL players, that may give us an idea of how he approaches attacking an offense with specific player ability.
