My memory says that Boykin had his way with Boatang in the last game against ASU. When you practice against someone a lot (like they did together at Duke, being roommates) you learn how you can “take” them. If you are quicker, that becomes your move. If you can jump shot them all day, then that’s your move. I recall thinking that Boykin had Boatang’s number in that game, a though which gives me confidence for today.

Also, what’s this about Ty Abbott being arrested!

We arrived in Berkeley at 1:00 AM this morning after a three and a half hour drive from the valley to witness firsthand something that I have waited to see since enrolling at Cal a quarter of a century ago. We will witness history tonight and I am proud of the way that Randle, Christopher & Robertson, Boykin & the rest of the team have risen to the occasion. May your expectations be met tonight gentlemen and may you make me and thousands of other proud members of the CAL FAMILY!

In high school action, Cal recruits Richard Solomon and Allen Crabbe advanced with a Price h.s. win last night.
Also, Cal recruit Gary Franklin Jr. advanced with a Mater-Dei win.

I believe we have to wait 1 week until the finals of this tournament bracket. Then onto Southern California tourney, the winner of which plays the 1 Northern Calif representative for the state finals in Bakersfield. But long ways to go before that.
