I coached Galas in high school- one hell of a tough kid and what a mean streak when he’s on the field! His dad played for Cal as well and his last game was the 85th Big Game- the day of “The Play”. He won’t disappoint. Go Bears!

Injuries in football happen to every team. It’s just that some teams have better back-ups to fill in. We didn’t miss all that much when Best went down by using Vereen. At other positions we did.

Calduke-

There must be something in the east bay- have you ever seen more injuries on any teams than Cal (football AND basketball), the Warriors and the A’s? It is UNBELIEVABLE.

Key for the offensive line next year is a healthy Matt Summers-Gavin, so all good on that front for now.

Normally coaches decide on position changes; the fact that Satchell wanted to play Safety (and the coaches let him) indicates he won’t be missed at WR…and that we need depth at Safety.

The most surprising news: “Solomona Aigamaua has been moved from linebacker to tight end”. Almost as surprising is that Schwartz won’t be moved to LT.

Given that Guarnero and Galas will play both C/G indicates they are two of the best OL that NEED to play…which I find interesting. It’ll be interesting how the OL pans out.
