  • uh oh.

I happened to catch the final 2 minutes on TV last night. (Wish I hadn’t tuned in so late.) Down by 3, Etiwanda had a good look at a game tying 3, but was horribly fouled – a M.D. player grabbed his arm as he was lifting up in shooting motion. It was clear as day – complete hack in shooting motion. The ball went flying. But the refs didn’t call anything and M.D. escaped with the victory.

Etiwanda should have gone to the line to tie in on free throws, but we’ll never know what would have happened in OT, if there was to be OT. It was the worst officiating call (non-call) I have seen all season, perhaps in years, decades. The ref was RIGHT THERE to witness it all. He simply had no guts at all.
