I was just watching Gameday and everybody picked Louisville over Cal, we will see about that. On the other hand ever 8 v 9 match up i saw in the highlights show the 9th seed victories (Wake over Texas, Northern Iowa over UNLV to name a few) and as u know we are seeded 9 and are playing 8 seed louisville… hmm…

We’re an 8 seed. Louisville is the 9 seed.

Washington played an inspired and inspiring game. Although I didn’t like seeing them win at the Pac-10 Tourney, now I’m glad they did, so that they got into the NCAA draw to take out a Big East team; they’ve earned my respect and admiration (at least for this year). If Washington had not earn the auto-bid, Arizona State may have been selected instead; they couldn’t even beat Jacksonville on their home court. Or Cal may have been the only Pac-10 team at the NCAA Tourney.
Louisville is the next Big East team to go down…! Go Bears!
(Also, great job by St. Mary’s. Another great performance.)

Alex, I just noticed, oops… hence why I came back to this comment section to nullify myself. Well I can only hope that whatever gods were behind today’s 9 over 8 upsets take a brake tomorrow and and let things take their natural course.

but the big east is the best-est most wonderful-est conference in the history of the world. how is this possible? could Seth Davis be wrong?!?
could the talking heads have been a little over the top with how much they crapped on west coast basketball this season?
i’m sure they’ll be retracting their pre-tournament statements like ‘Illinois or Marquette would win the Pac 10 easily’ because that’s what people with integrity do.
i’ll be waiting, Seth.
