Basketball: Howland says he’s not going anywhere

Responding to rumors that he had been offered a multi-year deal by DePaul, UCLA coach Ben Howland says he is not leaving Westwood for the Blue Demons or anyone else.
“I am the coach at UCLA. I will never leave UCLA and will stay at UCLA as long they will have me,” Howland said in statement released by the university.

That’s sort of silly. Who does DePaul think they are to lure him away from UCLA?

No way Howland leaves, and no way UCLA forces him out, not with 3 final four appearances. UCLA b-ball is one of the top 5 high profile (and high pressure) positions in college basketball.
