I actually feel bad that Taylor Mays listened to me. Huh, go figure.

I don't know what all the crowing is about but this isn't the first time Cal state had a 1st round pick and USC didn't. Someone possessing rudimentary football knowledge would know the same phenomena was experienced in 2007. Let's go back to 2004 when Cal state had its best run ever in modern times and look at a comparison between the two programs.

2004 - USC - One 1st rounder and 4 drafted
Cal state - 0 1st rounders and 2 drafted

2005 - USC - Two 1st rounders and 5 drafted
Cal state - One 1st rounder and 5 drafted

2006 - USC - Two 1st rounders and 11 drafted
Cal state - 0 1st rounders and 3 drafted

2008 - USC - Four 1st rounders and 10 drafted
Cal state - 0 1st rounders and 6 drafted

2009 - USC - Three 1st rounders and 11 drafted
Cal state - One 1st rounder and 3 drafted

2010 - USC - 7 total drafted
Cal state - 3 total drafted

Go back to advising Social Welfare students and getting football and basketball players easy classes. Your football knowledge is laughable.

It is pretty simple, really. Football players who see college only as a springboard to the NFL are not going to be attracted to a school like Cal. They will be likely to attend schools like Florida and USC, where they can major in ballroom dancing and their football careers will not be imposed upon by academic requirements. Of course, anyone who's academic career was distinguished by rejection and failure, and has had to live vicariously through an unrelated school's football team, and by being an obsessive hater as a way to compensate, would never understand that.

Its not like MorenComing is actually a football player- just being dumb enough to play for USC doesn't count. USC has the worst reputation as a cheating school in the nation- although personally I think there are others just as bad.

Hi, I never went to USC but I live vicariously through their football team when I decided to be a front running fan in the 2000s.

Also, I got rejected from UC Berkeley, so I hold a grudge against their football team. I fill that empty hole by going to Cal football blogs and talking smack to make myself feel better.

All in all your last two draftable classes haven't fared that well. Last year you got Mack and a couple in the 7th round and this year a total of 3 players drafted. I don't know why any recruit who had the NFL in their future would want to play for you guys.
