Hey Uh Oh-

“The game will feature the finest basketball players in the country who have excelled in the classroom and have contributed to their communities. Student-athletes are selected based on the following criteria: grade point average, SAT/ACT scores, strength of high school curriculum, college selection, community service involvement, extracurricular activities and basketball ability. This year’s participants have an average grade point average of 3.6.”

So what is your complaint, Uh Oh? Is a 3.6 GPA not high enough to be considered ‘academic’? Or, are you just hard up for something to be negative and critical about?

I think the “Academic” title of this game must be a joke.
It’s more like a college bound all star game, no?
Who else is in there. What are the classroom achievements.

Price high school coach on one end with Alloco on the other? Not saying that aren’t great coaches, but it’s all who you know in this case.

I’d rather see some 4.0 students going to Ivy league colleges in this game. Aren’t there ANY kids going to Harvard that also happened to be on their high school basketball team? Of course there are. Put them on the squad, if you’re going to call it “Academic All American”.

and brains in the classroom means brains on the court, too, which is often underestimated. you can’t just rely on instinct, at the college level. we should be solid in a couple years.
