There was so much whining and crying of poor behavior by their fans your AD said “No mas”. There are other obvious reasons too. First, you will probably lose the game which would result in Central Valley recruits not named Tracy Slocum leaving your offers in droves. Second, unlike UC Davis, East of Washington, Sac State you won’t get much of the gate receipts because Fresno fans would fill up the stadium.

If you will go to scout.com and the Fresno Bulldog (Bark Board) site, there is a long thread on the subject. A few posters have recommended a neutral site where everything could be split on a 50-50 basis. In this case no home-away arrangement would be needed.

The Bulldogs want a game. It remains to be seen how much your program desires the same.

Are there any sites between Berkeley and Fresno that are any more suitable than the stadiums at the 2 schools? I thought the big obstacle to a Cal-FSU series is that the stadium in Fresno is too small and Cal is concerned that FSU will not be a big enough draw in Berkeley. Anyone have any more information about what is going on here?
