Jerome Randle had eight points, three assists and just one turnover in 27 minutes as a starter today, but his Orlando Magic team lost 78-73 in the Orlando NBA summer league.

Through two games, the former Cal star is averaging 8.0 points, 4.0 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 1.0 turnover. But Randle hasn’t found his shot yet, converting 2-for-8 vs. Utah, including 0-for-2 from 3-point range. He is 5-for-17 from the floor in two games, 0-for-5 from beyond the arc.

Rod Benson, also late of the Bears, had four points, two rebounds, one blocked shot, one assist and one steal in 12 minutes off the bench for Utah.

No football posts today so I’ll put this here. Henderson decided not to attend USC- maybe Cal can get him if he can make the grade academically.

i thought it was funny that kiffin thinks he’ll get him back by releasing him unconditionally. dude, you lied to the kid. flat out lied to his face about their being no sanctions coming. now you think he’s going to trust you? i wish this kid well. it would be awesome if he came here.
