The Oakland Soldiers, featuring three players being recruited by Cal, were eliminated from the Nike Peach Jam Elite Youth Basketball League finals in Augusta, S.C.,, losing 82-76 to the St. Louis Eagles in the quarterfinals of the 24-team tournament.

Guard Jabari Brown of Oakland HS had 18 points for the Soldiers, forward Kyle Wiltjer of Portland, Ore., had 23 points and 11 rebounds, and Bishop O’Dowd HS junior-to-be Brandon Ashley scored 12.
