Heralded linebacker recruit Cecil Whiteside has yet to report to Cal’s Summer Bridge program and his eligibility for the upcoming season is in question.
Coach Jeff Tedford said Whiteside is still back home in Newport Beach “tending to some academic issues.”
All of Cal’s other incoming freshman and transfers reported on June 25 as scheduled to participate in the Summer Bridge progam (which prepares incoming students for Cal) and go through summer workouts. It is unclear if Whiteside will resolve his academic issues in time for the 2010 season.
Whiteside is ranked as the No. 4 outside linebacker and No. 38 overall player in the country by rivals.com. He’s part of an incoming linebacker class rated No. 3 nationally by rivals. If eligible, Whiteside is expected to compete for playing time immediately at outside linebacker.

Enroll him in the Social Welfare program. He will pass wkith flying colors. Even Lavelle Hawkings said it was the same as going to City College of SF. No difference.

Hey Moron,
Did you see Pete Carroll’s interview on HBO? What about the Reggie Bush piece about how he and his family got $300,000 from one agent then took more money from another agent with whom he signed? CHEAT ON! U.S.C. = Unseemly Scumbag Cheaters

Reggie is a disgrace. It is he who should be punished. Thank you for your keeping all of us up to date with his corruptibility. However it establishes how unfair are the sanctions that the current players and the entire program going forward should have been punished so severely.

I see my earlier post got deleted. I wonder why?
Notwithstanding that, moron still does not know what it is talking about with its constant and infantile disparagement of the School of Social Welfare.
