Football: Big praise for Riley

Speaking to fans at the inaugural “March to Victory” luncheon in San Francisco today, Cal coach Jeff Tedford gave a huge endorsement of senior quarterback Kevin Riley, saying he as “much confidence in him right now as any quarterback I have ever had.”

Tedford touched on a number of topics. Here’s a recap.

    That’s high praise considering how much he trusted Aaron Rodgers his junior year.

    If Tedford wanted to appear even more out of touch with Cal fans, then job well done.

    Mango, he isn’t a politician. He doesn’t need to be “in touch” with us. He needs to put the best team possible out on the field. And I believe genus doing that.
