Five-star recruit Kasen Williams of Sammamash, Wash., considered one of the top wide receiver prospects in the country, is expected to make his college choice public Friday. Cal is one of Williams’ five  finalists. He’s also considering Washington, Notre Dame, LSU and Florida.

Word in Seattle is that Kasen is a lock for Washington, given his roots here and that he has attended Husky games for years. ESPN apparently had a comment noting that if he chooses any school other than Washington, it would be the biggest recruiting surprise of the year.

I, for one, certainly hope that he chooses to become a Golden Bear, but given the news reports up here in Seattle, I’m guessing that no one should get their hopes up too high for that possibility.
