I think Coach Tedford wants the team to spend some time
under the lights to let them get ‘the feel’ of the lighted night game.
That will be more of a distraction than the altitude.

Or lineup the right number of people on the line. It was a comedy of errors. They didn’t have a clue when to call time outs, etc. And I am not speaking about the 2007 Oregon State game.

‘Offense was a problem’, Covinared? That is a major understatement. I can remember going to games during the Holmoe era where they could not even snap the ball from center accurately.

holmoe had some very good defensive teams. offense was a problem.

most of nevada’s yards in their last game were the result of missed tackles. i hope clancy places a higher emphasis on tackling in this game, than stripping the ball. the holmoe era bears were all a bunch of slappers.

GAP DISCIPLINE. Nv will be a great test for the D. Can they be aggressive and still maintain GD necessary to slow down spread O’s?

As of today;

Cal is favored by 2 points over Nevada(The odds have been dropping)

The over/under is 60 points

That translates to a predicted score of 32-30 Bears.

My fantasy brain tells me that the Bears should replace 3 of the linebackers with 3 defensive backs
(corners and/or safeties). They will need speed to keep the QB from running amok and quick coverage for the short passing game.

The Wolfpack offense looks very similiar to Oregon’s.
If the Bears can keep Nevada below 28 points, and Arizona to 24 points, I will buy into this defense.

Hoping for a big win this Friday.
