Football: Cal gets L.A.

Larry Scott’s press conference is still going on, but the big news so far is that Cal will be in the North Division along with Stanford and the Oregon and Washington schools. But Cal and Stanford have been locked in to play USC and UCLA as two of their cross-division games each year.

That is good news. Good news indeed. A lot of UCLA and USC alumni in the workplace. Would have lost some of the excitement for our new conference had this not been the case.

Just the Bear’s luck to win their division one year and have to beat $C or ucla twice, and both could be road games…….future Rose Bowl hopes just got more complicated.
