    Hmmmmmmm.

In the cable TV era, has Cal ever had as many 12:30 or 1PM starts? All but Nevada, Arizona, Oregon.

Will future Pac 12 TV contract see more games late on Saturday and/or days other than Saturday (like yesterday’s Boise or the previous Thursday at Eugene).

Seems Pac 12 commish/chancellors will do anything for a few extra bucks.

    Go Bears!

Old Bear, I think the early start is due to our having fallen from grace in the media’s eyes. The teams perceived as better get the late afternoon (prime time) game times.

    Southseabear,

    That hurts, but probably true.

I do like football under a full afternoon sun in Stawberry Canyon.

I also liked sitting on the couch watching a Thursday night Pac 10 game. For that matter I wouldn’t mind watching a Friday night game. Perhaps the Pac 10 will be the first major conference (apologies to the Mountain West) to commit to a weekly Fiday night game. For a few more dollars, would the NCAA go after the high school football space?

I couldn’t care less about the start time–or what it may or may not mean. The fact is, with that announcement, all 12 of Cal’s regular season games will be televised.

For such a disappointing team, they sure have managed to get important and lucrative television exposure.

Come on, Bear fans! Let’s just appreciate the fact that we can watch our sturdy Golden Bears each and every week (and let’s try to remember back when a Cal game on TV was a rarity).

    Go Bears!!

It probably draw the lowest number of TV viewers of any Pac 10 games. Mark my words. If the weather is bad in Pullman (snow, ice, rain) you guys lose. WSU is picking up their game and they will knock off someone.

Your words are marked, appropriately “WTF?”
