Bears now with 66 RPI and #21 strength of schedule, the best SOS of any Pac10 team, by far. UCLA is next with a 40 SOS rating. We win 2, we deserve to be in. Here’s hoping, anyway.

Bears played with emotion and energy.

great times on campus for the game yesterday. the Bears Lair was rocking before and after the game. this has to be one of my favorite Cal teams of all time.

DOMINATION by the Bears today! Great win and MSF was great. Awesome to see a great guy like him get the reception he did. He deserved it.
California has a shot at the NCAA but we are going to have to beat some good teams to get it done.
The Bears can do it, but will they?
I sure as heck hope so…love watching this team and know they can beat anyone on any given day. Our players are good enough and continue to get better. Hope they can do it…sc at high noon Th!!!!

Hard to get a more textbook example of addition by subtraction than Gary Franklin. Where would the team be if he had never matriculated? Almost certainly in the NCAA tournament, you’d think.

Double-double for Markhuri in his last regular season home game. Nice! The Bears have changed quite a bit (for the better) since that first Pac-10 game. If Cal had retained all the “expected” players this year, I don’t think they would be as good a team as they are right now. The five current starters (plus Solomon) are a great well-balanced unit, who are only now beginning to play their best.

(Impressive, how WSU took it to OT against UCLA without Klay Thompson or Reggie Moore.)
