First, here’s my story that ran today about Pro Day, focusing on safety Chris Conte.
More from Conte:
On getting into terrific physical condition:
“You go train at some of these places a nd you’re training to be a track athlete. You’re training to run the 40. You’re running every single day. You’re training twice a day. You’re on a strict diet, eating the right foods. It’s hard not to get in good shape. You have to try to not get in good shape. I’ve just been working hard, dedicating myself to being in the NFL and reaching my goals and my potential.”
On his performance at the NFL combine:
“I think I opened some people’s eyes. I am trying to keep that momentum going.”
On playing cornerback for his first three years at Cal:
“Playing corner and playing nickel, doing all that stuff, all it can do is help me.”
Conte also said he has individual workouts already set up with the Eagles and Rams, and plans on having more.
