Next thing that will happen is that Sandy will claim that banning baseball was just a ruse to spur the team onto great things. More seriously, she will look like a total fool to cancel baseball now if Cal keeps up its ranking, particularly if they do well in the NCAA playoffs.

How come the Oakland A’s and SF Giants aren’t involved in this? Someone out there ought to contact them. If you love baseball as the Giants and A’s hope than you should love it at all levels. There are many ways they could raise enough funds- even without spending their own money.

You can’t cut a top25 program. It would make the university look even more ridiculous than they already do. I’m glad this situation lit a fire under everyone’s behind. The team is finally playing up to the potential they’ve always had. It would be so nice to watch the college world series for once, with a team you actually care about, right in the thick of it. Go Bears!

Great. Having recently spent a grwat weekend at ATT park watching Cal baseball to show support, I’m glad Stu and other alumni are stepping up to the plate – pun intended – to save Cal baseball.
