Football: A couple of notes

Cal’s ever-changing spring practice schedule has been altered again this week. The Bears did not practice today as originally scheduled. Instead, they will go Thursday-Friday-Saturday this week. That’s because the team is going through midterms right now and many of the players will be have their workload lightened later in the week.

The Bears also will be holding all of their practices — except the offsite ones that are open to the public — at Contra Costa College in San Pablo. Cal’s open practice this Saturday at Grant High School in Sacramento runs from 1-3:30 p.m.

Also, meant to link this earlier. Here’s a good story about former Cal star DeSean Jackson returning to Long Beach Poly to speak the good word.

I’ll have a report off Thursday’s practice. Jeff Tedford is expected to narrow the quarterback competition to three players this week, so there may be some news there.

    Any rumors re Tevin Carter?
Has he dropped in his WR ranking??

  • MoreNCsarecoming

No – the rumor is he has dropped in his studies. He is gone. RIP.

our recruiting classes dont mean anything if all the players quit before playing

Shortly after DeSean spoke the good word to his LB Poly high school audience, 3 top Poly seniors committed to Arizona State.
