Tedford wont make any decision until early-mid August I bet. “Just Say No to Mansion” is my theme in 2011. Maynard intrigues me due to his legs, and his connection w/KA21. But Bridgford is really more JT’s type. I hope AB16′s shoulder is 110%.

Bridgford is going to be the QB. He has the most accuracy and he has preformed well in pressure situations(powerhouse high school games) he has the ability to make all the throws and he has been able to excel in practice. Mansion will probably be the second string but he should see some time on the field because his legs. Mansion will be a good 3rd stringer though.

I think the good news is that JT is assuming a more active role in teaching the QBs like old times when he had some decent QBs at Cal and prior universities.
Whoever shows up at #1 is going to be better than last 3-4 yrs.

The guy or guys who have the most QB moxie and leadership ability and then translate that into consistent results on the field will be behind center.
They have to win the team and will then win the crowd with results.
It might take two QB’s to reach our potential this fall. We’ll see, lots of time for this to play out and cream to rise to the top.
We have great coaches leading our offense going into 2011 and I think we’ll see the offensive unit take major steps forward led by the QB position.

Bridgeford probably SHOULD be the starting QB, but I’d put dollars to donuts we’ll see Maynard taking the first snaps, for several unfortunate reasons. He was a very average QB at a below average school. If he’s somehow become a stud, then I’m all for him being in there, but my guess is that he’s going to be in there to make Keenan Allen happy, and because he has the most D1 experience. Tedford will probably also say that he brings the most mobility to the table, just to appease those of us who want to see a QB take off every once in awhile, even though we know darned well he will never let a QB out of the pocket. Same old story. Again. I WILL BE SHOCKED if Bridgeford takes the first snaps, but I really hope he does. From all the notes we’ve seen, he sounds like he’s the best equipped for the job. Give him a chance.
