    How many RBs does that make from Cal that has made it to the NFL in the Tedford era? I think Tedford and Gould should get labeled RB gurus. Gould in particular has groomed these guys exceptionally well. Hope the next group can hold up the tradition.

    Chris Conte went to the Chi Bears

    Off the Subject, but,

    The Cal Bears may have started a recruiting trend;

    the Combo Offer;
    it started with K ALLEN-MAYNARD-HARRIS
    Then Ariz St 3-4 offers to Long Beach Poly recruits to get their key recruit

    Now, the Bears have made offers to 3 Don Bosco Prep, New Jersey, recruits.

    Vereen made the right move leaving with one year left.
    Has his degree, 2nd round draft pick and with a strong organization and good team.
    I thought he should have come back but obviously was wrong.
    Here’s to Shane, congrats and well deserved!
    Pretty cool Conte went in the 3rd round, another great draft for the California program.
    Go Bears

    Congratulations, Shane! You carried Cal last season, and absolutely deserves to play for a winning organization such as NE at the next level! You always remain as a great Golden Bear!!
