he’d better be better than he was at buffalo. if not, this season is a total waste. i’d rather see someone younger get a shot.
Lol rollon. How many games did you see him play at Buffalo? On what basis are you saying he didn’t do well there–his TD-INT ratio? Anything else? Think it’s possible he’d settle down over time–like say two years?
Don’t mean to harp on your comment, but it just seems silly to me when people haven’t actually seen him (or Bridge for that matter) play in a game that actually counts. And no, the controlled scrimmages during spring ball don’t count.
This may be a silly thought, but I think Tedford should start the best quarterback, regardless of what year he is in.
i agree with you. i just knew it would be maynard before the practices even started, because “he has experience.” getting tired of it. if he’s earned it, then so be it, and i do hope he does well, but no, sitting out a season after a mediocre one doesn’t instill much confidence, and if his strength is his running game, we all know how much running tedford will allow. next to none. he even said “we might mix in a play or two” for the qb to run. that’s classic tedford.
I don’t know what you guys are smoking but I don’t want any…smells like bummer weed from here.
Seriously, Maynard seems like the most athletic player with the best skills and given this is sports that’s a good sign. You can choose to believe JTed on this or not but he has stated Maynard has the ability and arm strength to put the ball anywhere on the field…ON THE RUN.
I would have liked to see Bridge get a shot but if Maynard has those skills than you go with the best.
JTed has produced quite a few very good QBs. Cal got caught in a bad patch with post-ankle Longshore and Riley but it doesn’t mean it can’t recover.
