Backs are a key to any offense. Sucessful college teams are able to run the ball. None of the backs on our roster have ever done anything consistently well at the collegiate level.
is Isi a good RB? Will CDJ, Yarnway or Briggs ever do anything to help the team win? What will the 5 new backs bring to the equation? The FB is key to a power run game. When we go that route offensively do we have a FB that can be a positive?
So many questions. I consider the QB a back too and including him in that group means we have tons of things to watch develop this year. Hope our guys are ready to go and become a strong unit, the key being that we need at least five backs to step up and play a positive role on offense this year. Roles must be developed, understood and executed.
We'll see how it goes, hope Maynard, Isi, CDJ, Stevens, Bridgeford, Kapp, Tyndall can step up and others that are new/never played push them and earn a role to add another dimension to the team.
Fired up to see it all unfold.
Does this years team have the desire to work together, improve and contribute anyway possible to be a good team? A lot of that will be determined by how the Backs perform and how deep they can go.
