- My notebook today, focusing on wide receiver Michael Calvin. This season is his last chance to make an impact.
- Former Cal running back Tracy Slocum is in legal trouble.
- Fresno State continues to sell tickets for Saturday’s game.

So, that story says fresno state has only sold 14k tickets, and there was another story that said they’d way outsold us, so that means we’re looking at less than 28k people in a stadium that fits 63,000. what the heck were they thinking starting ticket prices at $40, plus fees? Totally insane. Sad thing is that price are dropping on stubhub, where you can get them for $28, but none are electronic. So you have to buy them by tomorrow, pay an extra $17 for fedex, on top of the extra fees, and they end up still being more expensive than just buying them at the stadium. But even with no fees, $40 is a lot of coin for folks to shell out for this one. Glad it’s only on CSNcalifornia. What an embarrassment it would have been seeing a half-empty stadium for the Bears opener on national tv.

I’m coming up from Socal. It looks like I can move up to some better seats after the game starts if you all are going to stay away.
