707, Lack of energy is a result of the venue, not the lack of students. Even with a full student section, AT&T has almost no college football atmosphere. AT&T is a beautiful, but it’s not a home field for the Bears. At best it is a neutral site, in large part because the students aren’t at the 50 yard line. In their place, unfortunately, are too many visiting fans.

It’s an anomaly that will be all but forgotten next year at the New Memorial Stadium — where the students will be between the 40s cheering behind the Bears’ bench.

Again, where were the students?

I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again, our student body doesn’t deserve the 50 yard line.

Your wrong. Picked up by CSNBA. Know someone with CSNBA saying WASU game is going to get picked up too. If cal wins next two and OSU can win their games it should get picked up by the networks. Boom!

Were you at the Utah game at AT&T? I was there and most seats were filled except those first 8 or so rows along the 3rd base line. It wasn’t Memorial stadium loud, but there was a good amount of noise. Plus we were dominating Utah, so there wasn’t much need for noise when you are up 34-0.

There is a very good chance that Cal won’t be on Bay Area TV again until the Stanford game. They don’t deserve the TV coverage, and maybe it will drive some Cal people to actually attend the last two home games. I was at the game on Saturday, and the sea of empty seats was really pathetic. There was next to ZERO college football atomosphere at the game. The stadium big screen kept urging Cal fans to make some noise, but very little noise could be heard.

Cal should wait until the Stanford game to bring out the recruits. I would not bring a Cal recruit to the next two home games. They will be turned off by the lack of fan energy and the environment. Just my two cents.
