This is what you get when your coach has lost the art of calling plays (he used to be so good before Dunbar, back when he lived for coaching) and your QB has no accuracy. Does the ability to make a 40 yard run really offset the inability to hit a wide open receiver?

I wonder whether bandwagoner Bobby – who disappeared when we were losing to UW, Oregon, and U$C, but surfaced after beating underhanded Utah – will publicly defend the “QB Guru.”

Promote Ron Gould. At least his players develop and overperform. Demote Tedford to OC or let him quit.

This is one of the most embarrassing losses I have seen in 25 years of watching Cal football. UCLA was coming off one of it’s worst losses in history and was limping in with six suspended players. And both their offense and defense were ranked among the worst in the country. To not be able to make the adjustment on Prince faking to his back and running was beyond belief.
And what can you say about Zach Maynard? Five turnovers directly on his head. He lost the game by himself. And Tedford kept trotting him out there. I can just see the post game comments on why he didn’t yank him: “Zach gave us the best chance to win.” Pathetic.

If I were Bridgford, I’d be furious at JT for not giving me a chance to play.. not even with a damn minute left of the game and after 4(!) interceptions and terrible play by Maynard.. If I were him, I’d say “f this” and transfer. Seriously.

Dunbar was here for only the 2006 season and we won 10 games, we haven’t done that since.

Hire Dunbar back!

Tedford ran Dunbar out after one year. Tedford wouldn’t let Dunbar truly call the offense that Dunbar thought should be run. Dunbar was smart, he saw the ship had hit the iceberg was going to go down. Its been slowing sinking ever since. It takes a smart man to be a great O coordinator, clearly Dunbar is that.
You want to know how bad it was here for Dunbar? He bolted here to go to Minnesota. Minnesota. Cal was really good when he left here, to go to the dregs of the Big 10. What do you think that tells you about working for Tedford as his OC?
He has gone on to churn through OCs like beer bong shots at a frat party. Biggest bummer for me is that my Aztecs ended up with Andy frigging Ludwig- whose stupidly idiotic play calling cost the Aztecs a comeback win last night. The entire SDSU fan base already hates Ludwig 7 games into his first season on Montezuma Mesa. And Ludwig is (was?) good buddies with Tedford. Ol Coach Tedford threw him under the bus, just like he has done to so many of his players and coaches.
