Basketball: Stanford wins exhibition

Dwight Powell scored 16 points and Stanford beat Ryerson University 100-47 in an exhibition game at Maples Pavilion. Anthony Brown and Stefan Nastic added 11 points each and Josh Owens had 10 points and eight rebounds.

— Trent Lockett and Keala King each had 15 points and 10 rebounds and Chris Colvin contributed 15 points and seven assists, leading Arizona State to an 89-69 exhibition victory over host Grand Canyon University.

— Freshman guard DaVonte Lacy scored 21 points in his debut and Washington State whipped Lewis & Clark 88-41 in an exhibition game at Pullman, Wash. Senior guardĀ Marcus Capers added 14 and junior forward Brock Moten 12. WSU played without returning starters Abe Lodwick, Faisal Aden and Reggie Moore, sidelined by injuries.
