Two days before the start of the fall signing period, Cal got a significant oral commitment from Bakersfield HS guard Tyrone Wallace.

At 6-foot-4, Wallace is regarded as a combo guard. Wallace picked Cal over Colorado.

Wallace is rated the No. 78 overall prospect in the country by Rivals.com and it 17th on the recruiting site’s list of shooting guards. Scout.com lists Wallace as the No. 77 overall prospect.

The Bears secured a commitment from last spring from forward Kaileb Rodriguez of Highlands Ranch, Colo.

Cal is awaiting word from two post prospects — Zena Edosomwan of Harvard-Westlake HS in North Hollywood and Landen Lucas of Westview HS in Portland.

    Go Bears!

  • Bears

    Huge get.
Wallace should make a few calls to get a big or two to join him on LOI day.
Fired up about his decision, he’s gonna be a really good one!

  • Uh Huh!

Oh, boy! Now I can shut up about recruiting woes!
Tyrone, you are suddenly The Man!

  • Yoda

    Love it.
