We just finished a media teleconference with Cal coach Jeff Tedford. He says fullback Will Kapp suffered a broken ankle last night, which seemingly ends the senior’s season. Receiver Michael Calvin will undergo an MRI on his injured knee either Monday or Tuesday to determine his condition.

My guess on Calvin is anterior cruciate. Too bad for both.

Disappointed, but encouraged by the Bears’ showing last night. Quite sad about Will Kapp’s injury, as he’s been a mainstay of the special teams who have otherwise been problematic. IMHO he could’ve been used a little more in the offensive schemes, too, this year. Here’s wishing you a fast recovery, Will.

  3. Bears Says:

I hope both Calvin and Kapp as seniors will be a part of the finale on Friday and then the bowl.
They can still provide leadership from the sideline.
If they are engaged and pulling for their team it will help our Bears finish the year strong.
If they do that it will make the sting of getting hurt much less and say a lot about them as people.
Good luck to them in their recovery and thanks for being great Bears!

Wow! Sad news to hear. Wish both the best. Calvin has been plagued with injuries.

    Best wishes to both.
