Wide receiver Marvin Jones has accepted an invitational and will play in Saturday’s Senior Bowl at Mobile, Ala. The game will be televised live over the NFL Network, beginning at 1 p.m.

Jones joins offensive tackle Mitchell Schwartz in the game. Linebacker Mychal Kendricks previously accepted an invitation, but will not be playing.

For whatever it’s worth, Greg Biggins who covers West recruiting for ESPN, says he’s got a gut feeling Cal is the team to beat for Arik Armstead again.

Take that for whatever it’s worth.

Also Payton and Shaq have removed Cal from their Twitter profile. Shaq seems like he’s going to Oregon. If he does may he have a good career regardless. At least his brother went here. Starting to look like more and more of a longshot we keep him.

There was a report Payton committed to Washington over the weekend. He was asked about it on Twitter. He said that’s not true and that he hasn’t committed.

I hope they both come to Cal. But we’ll see. Starting to get ready in case Shaq bails.

Should have included this above – we had an in home visit with Armstead last night.

He’s got people from Washington, Notre Dame, USC, Auburn and Oregon (I believe) all making visits this week.

Why is Mychal Kendricks not playing? Got good feedback for draft stock?
