Basketball: Bracketology envisions 3 from Pac-12

ESPN.com’s Joe Lunardi has three Pac-12 Conference teams in the NCAA tournament field, according to his most recent “bracketology” projections.

Lunardi has Cal as a No. 10 seed, playing No. 7 Virginia in Albuquerque, N.M. He projects Washington as a No. 11 and Arizona as a No. 12 in a play-in game.

Saint Mary’s is a No 5 seed, according to the current projections.

    Let’s just avoid 8/9…

I think 7, 8, 9 and 10 are pretty much all the same. Awful. And that’s where we almost always end up. Sweeping the LA schools would be a miracle, but it would wipe out that silly home loss we just had. We need to do that, win our final 2 home games, split the other 2 road games in a single week, and beat stanfurd on the road to end the season. If we do all that, AND win the Pac12 tourney, we’ll be 5 or 6 seed. I don’t think that’ll happen though.

Huge stretch coming up for Bears on the road. If we finish strong and have a good Pac Tourney showing I think we’ll get a solid ncaa bracket. Hopefully in the west!

we have been pretty bad under Monty in the Pac12 tourney. Not enough depth to carry us through the back to back to back to back days. Not much hope there.

Foxsports has Washington as a #13 seed and that’s it from Pac12. The Pac is not very good this year but the bracketologist at Foxsports is smoking some weed.

I like our chances more than any other team if we can get consistent officiating.

    It is consistent. Consistently bad.

We don’t deserve three teams in the NCAA’s as we are only fattening up our records vs each other.
I think we should go though -Washington too at this point. Arizona needs to put on a streak.
