Basketball: Ducks, Cats, Buffs prevail

All three stay just one game back of Cal in the Pac-12 standings . . .

   — Oregon 78, Washington State 69: E.J. Singler scored 23 points and the host Ducks (18-7, 9-4) stayed just one game out of first place headed into their visit to Cal on Thursday. Guards Devoe Joseph and Garrett Sim each scored 16 points for Oregon. Brock Motum scored 17 points for the Cougars (13-12, 5-8).

   — Arizona 70, Utah 61: Nick Johnson scored 18 points and Kyle Fogg had 17, rallying the Wildcats (18-8, 9-4) past the Utes (5-20, 2-11) in Tucson.  Cedric Martin and Jason Washburn each scored 15 points for Utah, which led 33-25 at halftime.

   — Colorado 63, Arizona State 49: Freshman Spencer Dinwiddie scored 15 points and the Buffaloes (17-8, 9-4) won for just the second time in six Pac-12 road games to remain one game out of first place.  The Sun Devils (8-17, 4-9) shot just 36 percent from the field.
