Women’s basketball: USC trips Cal in OT

USC’s Ariya Crook scored seven points in the final 49 seconds of overtime, including the game-winning shot with 5 seconds left, lifting the Trojans (13-11, 7-6 Pac-12) over the Bears (18-7, 9-4) at Haas Pavilion.

Layshia Clarendon’s 3-point shot with 1 second left in regulation tied the game at 65-all and forced overtime. Cal led 73-67 with 1:25 left before the Trojans rallied.

Gennifer Brandon had 22 points and 17 rebounds for the Bears, who were hoping to avenge a 20-point loss to the Trojans in Los Angeles.
