Just noticed the link to the Baseball article.

Tony Renda is an absolute beast. I believe he’s the State of California all time high school hits record holder. One of the things I took from reading that article is that Serra High really puts out a good number of baseball players.

I’m an A’s fan, but Renda is the type of second baseman the Giants need long term. Tough as nails, can rake and has some pop in his bat. Not to mention a great defensive infielder.

I appreciate all your work here Jeff. I guess the one positive to Mr. Okanes being let-loose months back was that you’ve really stepped up and taken this blog to a whole new level.

This site is becoming more and more enjoyable to me.

I’m surprised you didn’t even put up a Whitney Houston post last weekend.

Thank you, Jeff, for all the great reporting you do. I know it can’t be easy considering all of the duties you have amidst reduced staffing. I know we all appreciate the thoroughness and personality to you bring to the Cal beat every day.
