@BSB- love the swagger! Not sure that I agree that we’ll be a 5 or 6 seed but I do agree that we will be a tourney team with one or two more wins. RPI, BPI, KenPom, Sagarin, etc. all say we’re a tourney team. Let’s just beat the trees and lock it up!

BNG, Cal will not be in the NIT. They will rip ljsu a new one on Sunday after uw loses to ucla on Saturday. We’ll win at least the 2 games in the pac12 tourney. We’ll get to hang another banner up in Haas and get ready to roll through the first week of the NCAAS as a 5-6 seed. Jorge will atone for his lapse last weekend and a week off between games will freshen this tired team. Yah, I’m confident. Go Bears!

As things stand now, Cal will be doing well to get ANY seed in the NCAA. Getting a bid is going to hinge on the conference tournament, and I am not sure Cal has the depth to win it given the format. If they win the regular season title but UW or another team wins the tournament, Cal may be shut out of the NCAA and headed (again) to the NIT.

Kamp would have been fine saying this at the beginning of the season and working to change it- but its at the end of his career after being knocked out of first place by a so so team at best.

Because of critical of Cals’ effort and the explanation doesn’t mean I don’t respect him as a player.

I just don’t want us losing to average teams and then whining if we get a horrible NCAA seed.

Yeah, Steve:
No offense, but that’s the lamest response you’ve ever posted here.
I love Kamp and would like to hire him some day. Smart and honest. Two great qualities. It wouldn’t be hard to find another 20 or so.

And to your point, Cal does have freshman Kravish, 2nd year players Crabbe and Cobbs, and 2 seniors. And other than a few minutes from a Thurman, Smith or Bak, THAT’S IT.
What did you expect from this squad? In my opinion they have all overachieved!

Cal isn’t a group of freshmen and its late in the season and late in the career of Kemp and Gutierrez to be screwing up. The introspection would better suit a younger team.

We need to win out for the rest of the season and hope Washington plays like the average big program team that they are.
