The analysis above is correct: If Cal, Arizona and Oregon finish in a three-way tie, Cal wins tiebreaker based on superior overall record in games involving all three. Cal would 2-1, Arizona, 1-1, Oregon 1-2 in those games. Then Oregon wins head-to-head tiebreaker vs. Arizona for the No. 3 seed.

Cal gets the tiebreaker by virtue of a 2-1 record against Oregon and AZ. Oregon gets 3rd on the head-to-head win vs. AZ.

Assuming Oregon wins, Cal can get no worse than the 2 seed and hopefully the 1 seed.

So, what happens to the Pac12 standings if Cal loses, and Oregon and Arizona both win, leaving 3 teams tied for 2nd with 5 losses?
UW would have 1st, but then who would get 2nd, 3rd and 4th?

Arizona beat Cal in their 1 meeting.
Cal beat Oregon in both meetings.
Oregon beat Arizona in their 1 meeting.

Is it possible that Cal could finish anywhere from 1st to 4th come this final weekend?

Might be hard to beat Oregon 3 times but Cal seems to have their number. Favorable match ups. Go Bears!

These results lock us into no worse than the #2 seed in the tourney. I’m assuming Oregon will beat Utah. That means we’d get Oregon in the 2nd round of the tourney. Good or bad?
