Football: Wideout Keenan Allen to miss spring workouts due to ankle surgery

Jeff Tedford has discovered Twitter and used it earlier to announce that junior wideout Keenan Allen will miss spring ball because of ankle surgery scheduled for Thursday.
“Keenan will miss Spring Ball due to ankle surgery tomorrow – will be back for summer workouts and be fully recovered for the season – Go Bears!” Tedford tweeted.

Well that’s just a great way to start Spring ball! Is there a dark cloud over the Bears or what? I know KA wasn’t going to get a lot of reps anyway, but ankle surgery is a bit scary. Hope he’s all healed are ready come August as we will need him!!! Go BEARS!

Did he injure the ankle on the stairs or playing basketball?
If he reinjures his ankle at spring training, fall practice or during the season it will have an affect on his draft status. He won’t want to damage any more than it is now.

I’m waiting for Juancho’s spin on this that it somehow gives further proof of his holding us hostage to another year of Zach even though Kline is already capable of performing at all Pac 12 caliber.
