Football: Weather axes Cal’s first spring practice

Standing water at Witter Field has caused Cal to cancel its first scheduled spring football practice on Tuesday.

Coach Jeff Tedford reported on Twitter a few minutes ago: “Update-postponing first practice till Thurs-standing water on the field-want 2 make sure in Spring we get quality work-will still get all 15″

    Say what you will about Tedford. But im really happy hes on twitter. Hes walking the walk. I bet he actually is enjoying it too. Not everything on twitter is negative.
