Washington State’s CBI championship series vs. Pitt now even at 1-1 . . .
— Pitt 57, Washington State 53: Top scorer Brock Motum sat out a second straight game with an ankle sprain, and this time the Cougars (19-17) couldn’t get over the top against the Panthers (21-17) in Game 2 of the best-of-three CBI championships series at Pittsburgh. The teams meet for the title on Friday at Pitt. Reggie Moore scored 18 points for WSU, which trailed by nine at halftime.
