Fans are invited to be part of Cal’s final spring football event of the season, scheduled for April 21 at Edwards Field, the Bears’ track and field stadium.
Gates open at 10 a.m. and the football team will begin its final spring workout at 11 a.m. The event is free.
Players and coaches will mingle with fans and sign autographs afterward.
Edwards Stadium is located at the corner of Bancroft Way and Fulton Street.
Here are the details.

Nice that they are doing something to connect with the fans.
Will be interested to see what kind of marketing they do to get people to the event. The new administration people are in place and hope what they bring will have positive effect.
Very interested to see how the team looks too!
A team that practices/scrimmages well usually plays well.

Very happy to see this. It makes NO sense to not have a big Spring game or an event like this right when season tickets are going on sale. Perfect way to re-engage the fan base during the off-season and get them fired up for football and buy tickets. A great idea would be to have tour guides waiting at the entrance to the new SAHPC and lead groups through the new facility and show it off to the fans. That would really bring a crowd and get people shouting “Go Bears” all the way to the season ticket window.

Shouldn’t you really be talking about what coach you guys are going to go after at the end of the year? You are looking at a 6-6 season AT BEST!

What happened to Quinn Tedford? Wasn’t he going to be a JR or SR this year?

Hoping to take the team i coach to this event.
These things help us sell the Cal brand to the next generation especially to those kids who arent total nerds academically like i was early on.

Finally.
The Bears attempt to make the Spring Game an “event” that people will put on their calendars.
I know the Bay Area is way too cool for spring football, but maybe we could learn something from those programs back east that make this an event.
Put those marketing guys at Haas B School to work and make this a springboard for the season.
5 months to Go Bears!

Black Mamba = moron

The grammar is too good to be moron. “Who’s your QB” would read “Whose you’re QB” when the other clown is trying to type that out.
