Softball: Williams’ game-winning hit with two out in seventh lifts No. 1 Bears past No. 3 Huskies

Jace Williams’ two-run, two-out single in the bottom of the seventh inning gave the No. 1 Bears (31-1, 4-0 Pac-12) a 2-1 win over the No. 3 Huskies (32-2, 3-1) in the opener of their three-game series at Berkeley.
Jolene Henderson struck out nine and allowed an unearned run to improve to 17-1 on the season.

That’s big if we sweep them we will cement our place as the best team in nation hands down. We could even receive all of the first place votes.
