Softball: Williams’ game-winning hit with two out in seventh lifts No. 1 Bears past No. 3 Huskies

Jace Williams’ two-run, two-out single in the bottom of the seventh inning gave the No. 1 Bears (31-1, 4-0 Pac-12) a 2-1 win over the No. 3 Huskies (32-2, 3-1) in the opener of their three-game series at Berkeley.
Jolene Henderson struck out nine and allowed an unearned run to improve to 17-1 on the season.
