Funny thing is, one of my fears was that if Jordan Payton wound up at Cal, I would eventually and inevitably refer to him at some point as Payton Jordan, now deceased but as nice a gentleman as I’ve ever met (and an impressive sprinter even into his 70s).

Distance runners love the cool and still conditions on mid-evening spring nights.
